This is my adaptation of “MLK,” the tenth and final song from U2’s 1984 album, “The Unforgettable Fire.” It is a lullaby to honor Martin Luther King, Jr. It originally is a short, pensive piece with simple lyrics. My adaptation adds a fitting prelude, the new version of the song, and a coda including excerpts from Dr. King’s historic speech, his vision, his beautiful dream.
