This record isn’t just a collection of tracks. It’s a map of the city I carry inside my head. I’ve always felt that in New York, the architecture isn’t made of brick and steel, it’s made of frequency. If you stand still enough on a corner in Soho at 3:30 AM, you can feel the sub-bass of the subway vibrating through your boots, and if you catch the light hitting a glass tower at noon, it has the same sharp, staccato rhythm as a slap bass line.
That’s where these songs live. I didn’t want to write an album about “nightlife” in the way people usually do. I wanted to capture the arc, the way the energy of the pavement shifts from the aggressive, dark-disco grit of a basement club to that strange, fragile clarity you only find at sunrise when the deli lights are too bright and your head is still spinning.
For me, the bass is the lead voice. It’s the heartbeat of the street, the physical weight of the air, and the kinetic force that keeps us moving even when we’re exhausted. My vocals are just there to tell you the secrets that the rhythm already knows. We move from the high-fashion strut of the midday rush into the hazy, psychedelic echoes of the morning-after, finally circling back to the velvet curtains of the evening where it all begins again.
This is a twenty-four-hour loop. It’s for the wanderers, the outsiders, and anyone who understands that a good groove is the only compass you really need. Keep it in the pocket.
